Canoa Seca Estates was developed and built in 1989 in the unincorporated community of Green Valley, Arizona. The first homeowners moved into the Estates in 1989. There are 170 homes within the Estates with wonderful views of golf courses and the Santa Rita Mountains. In today’s economy Green Valley offers some of the best vacation values in southern Arizona. Visitors enjoy well-appointed but affordable hotels, regional cuisine and proximity to unique shopping areas such as the artist colony in Tubac. Of course, Green Valley is a golfer’s paradise.
Green Valley is an unincorporated community located in Pima County, AZ. Green Valley was founded in in 1964 and occupies part of the vast (46,697) acres of the San Ignacio de la Canoa grant which was given to New Spain by the Spanish Crown in the 16th century. It is now a vibrant retirement community and gateway to historic southern Arizona located south of Tucson on Interstate 19. For more recent history the Titan Missile Museum, a national historic landmark site, is located in Sahuarita, just off the interstate 19 at Duval Mine Road. A relic of the Cold War, this is the last remaining of the 54 Titan II sites that were on alert across the US from 1963 to 1987. Continental (a small community south of Green Valley) was a location of President Wilson’s guayule project. Guayule is a plant that produces latex its growth was encouraged in response that the Germans would overtake the rubber market during the first world war.
The HOA is governed by AZ statute, HOA CC&R's, HOA By-Laws, Board-Approved Policy and Procedures,and has an elected Board of Directors which meets quarterly, with an annual February HOA meeting.
